Objectives

1. Provide the basic knowledge and develop the foundational skills, attitudes and values, including the moral and spiritual dimensions essential to the child’s personal development and necessary for living in a changing social milieu.
2. Provide learning experiences which increases the child’s awareness of and responsiveness to the changes in society and prepare him for constructive and effective involvement.
3. Promote and intensify the child’s knowledge of, identification with, pride and love for the nation and the people to which he belongs.
4. Promote work experience which develop and enhance the child’s orientation to the world of work and creativity in order to prepare him to engage in honest and gainful work.
5. Strengthen the spiritual and moral values and seek ways to translate these into deeds.
6. develop proper study habits while laying down a strong and balanced foundation of basic education, especially in the 5 R’s (reading, writing, ‘rithmetic, reasoning, right values).
7. Motivate pupils to pursue excellence in all academic and non-academic activities.
8. Discover variable talents and aptitudes among pupils and nurture them to optimal individual levels.
9. Cultivate healthy body and healthy mind through health knowledge and practices.
10. Instill desirable attitudes and teach behaviour that leads to a progressive sense of responsibility and maturity.
11. Inculcate qualities of a discerning consumer, present and future.
12. Provide opportunities for pupils to reach out and relate meaningfully with different groups or people in the larger community.
13. Incorporate parental interest and participation into learning activities of pupils.
