Happy New Year!

The year 2010 had finally bade us goodbye bringing with it our unreached dreams, unfulfilled missions in life and the not so good things that happened to us in the year that was. Here comes 2011 bringing with it endless possibilities to make a fresh new start.

Without further ado let's shake off the dust of disappointments and hopelessness of the year 2010 and embrace the New Year wholeheartedly. Just beyond the horizon lies the silver lining of God's grace. All we have to do is pick up a fresh supply daily. God's word says "for my grace is sufficient for thee". Isn't this a wonderful promise?

We might have faced a lot of disappointments in the past, burdens too hard to bear, crosses that weighed us down badly and circumstances that snuffed the life out of us. But hope springs eternal to those who believe in God's faithfulness.

Surely the year 2011 comes in with a great big bang! We will be receiving a lot of blessings from the Lord. Of course a lot of challenges that comes in a myriad of colors will also adorn our way. It's up to us then how to tackle these challenges.

Jeremiah 29:11 says "for I know the plans I have for you; plans to prosper you and not to harm you plans to give you a hope a future." Isn't this a great promise from the Lord? But hey let's continue to look on verses 12 to 13. "Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart".

Well then it's clear, the Lord promises to take hold of our future but we also have a duty to call on Him and pray to Him and acknowledge that He is the God of our lives.

New Year, new life! So let's be ready to face this new season with an acknowledgement that we need God to direct our paths.
