Trinitarians All Buzzed Up with Activities
August 6, 2010
Trinitarians are so busy these days! Last August 5, TCS was the host of the Australian Math Competition (AMC) of which more than one hundred elementary and high school students coming from different private schools in the city and Negros Occidental joined. The competition was administered by the non-profit Australian Mathematics Trust in collaboration with the Mathematics Trainers Guild Philippines.
The AMC is for students of all standards. Students are asked to solve thirty problems in 60 minutes (Years 3 to 6) or 75 minutes (Years 7 to 12). Students mark their responses on a mark-sense sheet and these are processed by computer. The earliest problems are very easy. The problems get progressively more difficult until the end, when they are challenging to the most gifted student.
Meanwhile, the art class conducted by an art Teacher coming all the way from China culminated with an exhibit at the main lobby. Art crafts of various designs and colors are currently displayed for everyone to see.
On top of these, Trinitarians are also busy with their Chinese dance lessons. Next week the seniors will be having their Bible retreat from Monday thru Wednesday . They will return to school just in time to begin the series of celebrations of Buwan ng Wika.
