TE Staff Win Writing Awards

Anxiousness and excitement filled the Activity Center of AL Jayme Elementary School as elementary and high school students waited for the proclamation of the winners of the Division Press Conference (DSPC) held last October 1 and 2, 2009.

More than 700 students coming from both public and high schools all over Bacolod city competed for this prestigious Journalism contest sponsored by the Department of Education.

Bringing glory and honor to our school were the following Trinitarian Ensemble Staff:

Ostin John Ong 3rd Place, Copy Reading and Editing, English, Secondary
6th Place, Photojournalism English, Secondary
Joesalie Solis 3rd Place, Feature Writing, English Secondary

Jet Siegbert Oregano - Sportswriting English Secondary
Jay Nico Guevarra 4th Place, Editorial Cartooning, Filipino, Secondary
Antonette Somcio 4th Place, Feature Writing English, Elementary
Ma. Joenelle Grace Plotena 5th Place, Copy Reading and Editing, Filipino, Secondary
Eddy Merly Borja 7th Place, News Writing, English, Elementary

They will be among the official participants of Bacolod City to the Regional Press Conference (RSPC) set on the first week of December, 2009.

Being one of the programs of the Department of Education, DSPC promotes to enhance students' campus journalism skills and bring social awareness to the pressing local and national issues pertaining with the Philippines.
