Merry Christmas!

Then there are gifts under the tree, Christmas lights are glowing, the cards in the mail, the Christmas colors are everywhere.

People are greeting each other with a “Merry Christmas”. This joyous season of the year is the most anticipated month for all Christians all over the world. This is a season of great joy.

Better still, this season is a time of healing. Along the year, we might have hurt or offended someone, or it could be the other way around. This is the time to renew relationships, a time to forgive and start anew.

This is also the perfect season for sharing our blessings. With all the financial blessings that we received, we can share our blessings to those who are really in need. The best way to share is to give to those who really don’t have the opportunity to return the favour.

There are many wonderful reasons why we are really looking forward for this time of the year, but the greatest reason would be to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Light was brought forth into the world when Jesus came.

Shepherds, wise men, and angels all shared in the excitement of knowing about this great event. They knew this was no ordinary baby. The prophets had told of His coming hundreds of years before. The star stopped over Bethlehem just to mark the way for those who were looking for this special child.

And as we celebrate this season, let us never forget to thank the Lord Jesus Christ for everything that we have. For all the challenges that we faced during the year, the good and the not so good ones, let us thank Him. Surely things happen for a reason when anchor our faith in Him.

And then all of us can say with all hearts “Merry Christmas”.
