Covered Court Groundbreaking Ceremony Kicks Off

There shall be showers of blessing
This is the promise of God
There shall be seasons refreshing
Sent from the Father above.

Trinitarians prayed for a cool weather to grace the opening activity of the 33rd Foundation Anniversary of the school. Minutes before the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the covered court the rain fell but not that heavy. It was just enough to cool the grounds and to set the atmosphere for the event.

October 28, 2009. It was another milestone in the history of Trinity Christian School as a time capsule was buried, for a covered court will soon rise inside the school grounds. This has been the long time dream of the TCS Alumni Association to build such one, first to protect the athletes and the students from the sweltering heat of the sun and for the school to host a large crowd in various school activities.

Mark Gomez, the alumni president led the shoveling together with Ian Manuel Lo, an alumnus of the school.

It was a touching ceremony as the soil covered the time capsule. It was a clear indication that after all those planning and praying, Trinitarians' dream will finally come true.

"I urge all of you to participate in this humble endeavor, all for the benefit of the students and the school as a whole. However, I beseech all of you to support this project by buying the raffle tickets which we have prepared to help build this activity center," Mark Gomez said.

He further thanked the different batches who signified their support by donating considerable amount as seed money for the said endeavor.

He called on the support of the students to buy the tickets and to pray for the speedy completion of the covered court.

Meanwhile the school grounds buzzed up with various activities as the foundation week went by.

The STC officers led by Ostin John Ong organized various fund raising activities to spur up the celebration. There was the inflatable playground which was the crowd's favorite, the different carnival games, the food stalls and the fellowship games that lured the students to stay in school and to make the foundation anniversary worth the preparation.
