Trinitarians celebrate Bible month

There are times in our lives that we get restless, lose our focus and become distracted with the cares of the world. These and many others things affect the way we see life each day. Our minds can get easily caught up in the web of anger, confusion and fears. This is the reason why we need to stop what we are doing and reunite ourselves with the Lord.

The month of January is dubbed as the Bible month. Believing so much on the importance of a personal relationship with the Lord, all Trinitarians are privileged to replenish their energies, feed their souls through the word of God. Last week the 2nd year high school students went to Camp Humayan in Bago city for their much awaited retreat. This week it's the turn of the 1st year and next week the 3rd year Trinitarians will be in Rafael Salas Benedicto in Bago City for their turn.

There are many reasons why we need to be away from the crowd and participate in a spiritual retreat. The Lord says in His word, "Come to me all you who are weary and I will give you rest." Replenishing our energies, feeding our souls, taking time out and joining others of like heart, letting go of stress and self-discovery are just some of the reasons. The many challenges of our times can affect us personally and emotionally. Personal retrospection directs us towards inner knowing of ourselves. By this, we can discover the great wealth of intelligence and love that dwells within us and this new found clarity brings awareness, stability and grounding in our lives.

All Trinitarians celebrate this activity every year. The preschool and elementary students have worship services, film showing and lectures to celebrate the life of Christ and have an in depth understanding of the Bible. One of the highlights of this event is the yearly outreach to adopted schools where Trinitarians get to share their blessings to the public school students.

In this trying times, there is no better way but "up". We have to acknowledge that we are at loss if we are not with the Lord.
