MTG kids shine anew in international competition

Sweet victory comes after hard work as the reigning math smart Trinitarians swept the China Math Olympiad with awards last August of this month.

Ma, Joenelle Grace Plotena of the fourth year and Olsen John Ong of the 2nd year stood undaunted and faced their foreign counterparts and finished the mental battle as bronze medalists in the China Junior Math Olympiad last August 5 to 9 at Tianjin, China.

To add to the list is Irene Therese Bermejo of the grade 6 who went home with a bronze award in the China Primary Math Olympiad last August 9 to 14 which was still held in Tianjin, China.

These Trinitarians went through rigorous training during the summer in Manila together with the other math enthusiasts all over the country. They are members of the Mathematics Trainers Guild, Philippines.

And as the competition unfolded, they were among those pinoy kids who waved the Philippine flag up in the air, making the country proud and victorious.

Another MTG kid, Timothy James Tan is set to join the Hua Bei San Math Olympiad this coming December.

Recently, Ostin John Ong of the fourth year also won  bronze medals in the Math Olympiad in Las Vegas Nevada and Dhurban, South Africa.

Congratulations!
